Free Throws |
Each participant will shoot five (5) free throws, consecutively from the Free Throw line of their respective age level. After each participant has shot their five shots, the player with the most makes, will be the winner. If there are players who have tied for the most makes, they will again shoot five (5) consecutive free throws and this process will continue until one of the players has made more of their attempts out of five than the other participant(s). There will be no ties. |
|
Speed Dribble |
Each participant will dribble from one baseline to the other baseline, and then reverse direction to return toward the starting point baseline. Upon approaching the return baseline, the player must shoot and successfully make a layup. Once the ball goes through the net and touches the floor, the time will be registered as complete. The participant must continue to shoot until making the shot. The participant with the lowest time to complete the dribbling and made layup, will be the winner. Should there be players with identical times, they will perform the contest again, and the lowest time will be awarded winner. |
Diagram |
For this contest, two players will be involved from each team. They will alternate as "shooter" and "rebounder". One player will begin as shooter and will have 45 seconds to make as many baskets from designated spots clearly marked on the floor. Each designated spot will be worth specific point amounts as shown in the diagram. There will be only one ball used, and the "rebounder" will retrieve made and missed shots for the "shooter" during the 45 second interval.  A player must move to a different value spot after each shot therefore he/she cannot shoot consecutive shots from the same valued spot. (Example: a player starts from a 2 spot, then must move to a 3 spot or the 5 spot, but a player cannot alternate between the 2 spots just attempting lay ups. ) The teammates will reverse roles and another 45 second cycle will occur. Once both teammates have been "shooter", the points will be totaled for each "two-man team". The "Team" with the most points per the scoring formats by designated spot, will be declared winners. Should there be a tie between team(s), the contest will be repeated, but using only 30 second intervals, but still having each participant perform in the role of "shooter" and "rebounder". Highest "Team Score" wins. |
Diagram |
Each participant will have 45 seconds to shoot from four different spots around the key. There will be 3 balls located at each of the four locations around the arc as shown in the diagram. Each participant will have 45 seconds to take all 12 shots. Note the 12th shot will be a bonus counting as 2. The player with the most made shots will be awarded winner. |
